Plant/Krauss in Concert
August 28, 2008
Alison Krauss and Robert Plant, two living giants of the music industry, collaborated on an album last year called “Raising Sand.” Don’t expect this music to sound anything like Led Zeppelin, but the album is great in a different way and has been a huge critical success, even landing the two a Grammy for Best Pop Collaboration.
The duo are coming to the Rose Garden to share their soulful, bluesy sound with the music lovers of Portland. So rather than waiting for a Led Zeppelin reunion tour, consider picking up a ticket or two for this once in a lifetime musical experience. Raising Sand is a haunting and lovely album that should sound great in a live setting. The concert takes place on September 30th.
