Children’s Nature Fair at the Leach Botanical Garden

orchidSaturday May 16, 2009 from 10am to 3pm the Leach Botanical Garden will be hosting a Children’s Nature Fair.  Come experience the garden, some hands on activities and crafts.  Tours of the garden are also every Saturday until November.  Admission is always free, though donations are suggested.  The Leach Botanical Garden is a beautiful garden with over 2,000 species of plants.  About half of the plant species are native to the area, and half are imported from locations around the world.  The collection is expanded every year along with their Seed Exchange program which provides a huge variety of seeds including many rare species.
