Portland’s very own celebration of Bastille Day is this Saturday July 11 from noon to 8pm.  Bastille day is a day of celebration in many cities around the world commemorating the first day of the French Revolution.  Portland has one of the largest Bastille Day celebrations in the US.  In celebration of this day, there will be french foods, wine and fun events for the whole family located in Jamison Square Park at 810 Northwest 11th Avenue Portland, OR 97209.  The events include a Portland Waiters Race where local waiters race each other while holding and balancing trays of breakable glassware.  Live music will be playing, along with creepy mimes running around everywhere.  French pastries will be for sale along with some special French drinks for the adults.  Check out Neighborhood Notes for more information.
