Canoe Portland

February 7, 2008

The ultra hip boutique, Canoe is located on 1136 SW Alder. They carry a unique selection of home decor, bags, egg shaped bird feeders (?), and Italian handmade wooden Pinochios(?). I know, sounds totally random, but it really is a cool little shop in downtown Portland. It has a very Northwestern style to the shop. Check out this great article on CANOE by Apartmenttherapy.com.

My husband i were in Canoe this past weekend and loved all most everything in the shop we both agreed that it would be a great resource for gifts for everyone we new. When i went to ask the clerk for some help she was completely disinterested in helping me with my question and made me feel like i was putting her out. Than proceded to help a much “hipper” looking couple with their questions not even pertaining to the store. I did purchase what a had come for and left knowing i wouldnt be back. You should alway expect the people that look most unlikely to spend money are usally the ones with the money to spend. I will be letting people know not to shop at Canoe. Ill find the goods elsewhere. Great merchandise, Not great service!

I’m sorry you had such a bad experience with the people who worked there. I actually didn’t even speak to anyone there. I was just so into all their cool stuff there, but all and all sorry your experience was icky.

Got something to say?
