Spring is finally attempting to start here in the great Northwest. For those of you who are seasoned gardeners, I’m sure you already have your supplies and may even have some seedlings started inside. Those of you who are newly interested in gardening should get a head start now. Cornell Farms is a great place to get everything you need for both indoor and outdoor gardening, beginner to advanced. The farm not only has all of the equipment, but has an expansive set of greenhouses with hundreds of varieties of plants growing everywhere on the gorgeous grounds. In their edibles section, I was able to pickup cilantro and heirloom tomato seeds for my window garden. Take a peek at the fruit trees while you are there, I have my eye on a container lemon tree there when it gets a little larger. Imagine that, a little lemon tree on your porch that produces flowers and fruits all summer long. The best part about Cornell Farms is not the supplies, or even the relaxing walk you get while there, its the people. The employees of Cornell Farms are always pleasant, helpful, unobtrusive, and very knowledgeable. Few stores have this level of expertise and service, and I have been satisfied enough to make the journey back once or twice weekly on the way home from work.
