Dine Out to Dig In for Growing Gardens! Wed 10/21

Here’s a win-win proposition for you: treat yourself to an weeknight dinner out and help Growing Gardens at the same time. Really! The restaurants I listed below have all agreed to donate 10%-20% of the bill to Growing Gardens on Wednesday, October 21st. So head out on the town, eat a nice meal, and support one of Portland’s finest non-profit organizations.

If you’re not familiar, Growing Gardens helps low-income individuals and families build their own organic vegetable gardens by supplying the volunteer labor and know-how. Teach a man to fish, right? The also provide reasonably priced workshops on gardening and preserving the harvest, a great resource for novice gardeners. Also notable is their Youth Grow program, which gets kids excited about growing and eating their veggies.
