Ebru Fine Art Printmaking

May 19, 2008

The ancient practice of Ebru, known as marbling in the West, is a contemplative method of fine art printmaking. On May 24, 2008 at 1:30 pm, the MuseRoom is hosting a free lecture and demonstration of Ebru Fine Art Printmaking by artist Reza Antoszewska

The lecture will include the origins of the monoprint technique, from its early beginnings in the Far East to its propagation through the Silk routes to Turkey, and the dynamic and contemporary developments the art form has garnered in both the East and West. A live demonstration will follow the presentation showcasing the fundamental methods and materials of Ebru.

For additional information on the event, please visit www.museartanddesign.com or call (503) 231-8704. Ebru materials and resources are available for purchase at Muse Art and Design located at 4136 SE Hawthorne Blvd.
