Justa Pasta

June 30, 2008

Justa Pasta serves up fresh, made-to-order pasta from its unassuming, tucked-away spot on NW 19th. Everything on the menu is made from scratch in their kitchen from mostly local ingredients. One standout dish is the Butternut Squash/Hazelnut ravioli with Alfredo. The decadent Roasted Chicken Lasagna with Pepperjack and Alfredo is also a knockout. My ‘go to’ dish would have to be the Spinach Linguine, always light and delicious and unbelievably fresh.

Justa Pasta keeps you coming back with their unique daily specials, like penne tossed with pancetta, mushrooms, tomatoes and sugar snap peas or tagliatelle tossed with smoked bacon, green beans, snap peas, radicchio, crimini mushrooms, garlic and XV olive oil. If you are so inclined, they also make a mean cheesecake.

A few days ago, I stopped in for dinner with my family. Our server sat us outside and made a great recommendation on a bottle of white wine. Our Salmon Caesar salad was cooked to perfection, the Meatball Marinara was great, and we passed around some sort of fried broccoli dish that was a big hit with everyone. With affordable prices, speedy service and a pleasant interior (as well as outdoor seating), Justa Pasta is a definitely a food spot you’ll be telling your friends about.
