May 2nd is No Pants Day!

Be it legitimate, earth-shattering news with global implications or the most inane hearsay this side of E-news, Portland Octopus has it covered. With that said, I would like to report on a fringe holiday, humble in origins and possibly just the web-prank of a few dorky students in a dorm lounge in Little Rock, Arkansas. Either way, we think it is worth our time and yours. The holiday is No Pants Day and it happens every year on the first Friday in May. According to the holiday website, there are no events planned in Portland as of yet, although there are confirmed happenings in Austin (Texas), Red Deer (Alberta), and Chilliwack (British Columbia). Come on Portland, you already have a nude bike ride. No Pants Day is so PG compared to that. Get organized!
