Monday Movie Nights at Pix Patisserie

Every Monday night, Pix Patisserie on N Williams (3901) plays free classic movies. Get a glass (or flight) of wine, take in the wonders of Pix’s own “chocolate laboratory,” sample an exotic dessert and settle in for a classic film. The N Williams Pix opened in 2005, after the wild success of their original Division St. venture (3402 SE Division). The new location is a bit more chic and roomier than the original, but shares the same upbeat kitschy sensibility–and of course the same decadent modern deserts. Try the “Amélie” for example, my favorite, which is a glazed chocolate mousse with caramelized hazelnuts, praline crisp, vanilla crème brûlée, and Cointreau génoise.
