Obama Ads Begin, Clinton Plans Events

The initial Barack Obama ads have finally begun popping up in Oregon. In these, he is clearly stressing education and small town values. While not as specifically geared towards Oregonians as Senator Clinton’s ads, Obama is nonetheless beginning to shows sign of his investment in the Oregon primary. However, just as Senator Obama plants these little seeds, Hillary Clinton has taken her Oregon cause one step further, setting dates for yet another round of appearances in our state. She has officially marked May 8th and 9th for these events. As you know, both Barack Obama and Senator Clinton visited Oregon a little over a month ago, and Bill Clinton has barnstormed through in Oregon on two separate campaign trips already. Even Chelsea has done her part, with a surprise cameo at Portland’s annual Red Dress Party last month. What all this suggests? We’re in for some serious political hoopla leading up to May 20th. Personally, I can’t wait!
