Pedalpalooza 2008

May 30, 2008

Pedalpalooza is two and a half weeks of bike-related fun and craziness. With 203 events, the vast majority organized by individuals, bikers of all interest levels will find something appealing to them. And almost all the events are FREE!

This year marks the 7th year of Pedalpalooza, loosely organized by Shift but mostly pulled together by the Portland bike community. Some this year’s highlights include: bike-in movies, donuts, tacos, mini-bikes, tall-bikes, Sprockettes!, unicycle polo, police on bikes, nakedness, togas, bike porn, knitting, labor history, rubenesque women, zombies, fountains and David Bowie vs. Prince. The mayhem begins with the Kickoff Parade through downtown Portland on June 12 and culminates with the Multnomah County Bike Fair on June 28. To find out what happens in between, check out the 2008 Pedalpalooza website, and keep riding Portland!
