Association – Hollywood Neighborhood Association The Hollywood District contains three Portland Public Schools: Fernwood School (1915 NE 33rd), Hollyrood School (3560 NE Hollyrood Ct), and Grant High School (2245 NE 36th Ave). The Hollywood District originally was included as park of the Rose City Park subdivision which was laid out in 1907. The original Rose City Park subdivision was part of a land claim of Joseph Backenstos, and interestingly enough, the claim was assigned to his widow by U.S. President Andrew Johnson in 1866. According to an 1890 map, the area that we now call the Hollywood District was referred to Crook Tract. Hollywood on Portland OctopusReal Estate
