St. John’s
St. John’s [Portland Zip Code 97203] is a neighborhood in north Portland known for its affordable working-class houses and its small-town feel. In the past few years, a number of young professionals have been purchasing homes in St. John’s, which has in turn opened the door for more and more boutique shops, restaurants and cafés. St. John’s is bordered by the Columbia and Willamette Rivers, the North Portland railroad tracks and the Cathedral Park neighborhood. The neighborhood landmark is the picturesque St. John’s Bridge, a steel suspension bridge completed in 1931 that spans the Willamette River.
