Alameda [Portland Zip Code 97218] is a neighborhood in Northeast Portland, Oregon centered around the cross-streets of NE Fremont and 33rd Avenue. Alameda is adjacent to Wilshire Park and features mostly historic homes built in the early 1900s: Craftsman, Queen Anne and large custom designs, with some modest bungalows and ranch style homes as well. Curvy streets, large lots, and great views of the Willamette River as well as the downtown Portland skyline make Alameda one of the most popular and prestigious communities in Portland. The neighborhood is referenced by singer/songwriter Elliott Smith “Alameda,” a song from his Either/Or album.
