The Kids in the Hall, One Night Only!

April 21, 2008

Everyone’s favorite Canadian sketch comedy troupe is still on tour, still in drag and still utterly ridiculous. If you watched Comedy Central in the 90’s, and you weren’t my parents, then you probably devoted at least a few hours a week to Kids in the Hall reruns. When their HBO series ended in 1995 and the show was syndicated by Comedy Central, the by then legendary comedians became household faces over night, and have maintained a cult following ever since. Now you can see them live on stage in all their theatrical glory. The Kids in the Hall, aka Dave Foley, Bruce McCulloch, Kevin McDonald, Mark McKinney, and Scott Thompson are playing the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall (1037 SW Broadway) on May 11th as part of their “Live as We’ll Ever Be” tour, their first in over 6 years. Discovered by Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels, the troupe is back, and armed with all new material. And from what I hear, they haven’t missed a beat. You won’t want to miss this!

Just for good measure, here’s one of my favorite classic KITH sketch’s: Sick of the Swiss

Instead of placing venue info in the article, have a breakout at the end. I would include venue, location, dates/times, cost and a links to the ticketing agency and maybe the performers website.

Got something to say?
