Tiga

Tiga is a hip, loungy neighborhood bar serving stiff drinks with a smile. This a great place to get an intimate drink and have some good conversation. They often have a DJ mixing mellow tunes to go with the low-key candle lit vibe of the place. Tiga has a good menu with mostly tapas style bites like deviled eggs, savory tarts, chorizo avocado salad, flash-fried cauliflower, etc. The food is inexpensive (most items under $7) and delicious.

Tiga is part of a cool little complex on 15th and Prescott St, just off Alberta, that also includes the popular Podnah’s Pit Barbeque and a retro cafe/resale shop called Bean. This is a great, somewhat unknown little enclave that is very up-and-coming. You could easily spend a whole night between Podnah’s and Tiga, than wake up and get coffee at Bean! Anyhow, this is a great area to check out.
