World’s Largest Yard Sale!

Man, I used to love junk. I couldn’t get enough of it. The last fews years, however, I’ve made a concerted effort to cut down on all the crap I’ve accrued. But oh do I miss that feeling of coming home with armfuls of strange, not-yet-antiquated relics from someones else’s musty basement or closet. I miss the pained, woeful looks on my roommates faces when they would see my latest contribution to the already tacky living room decor. Well, if you are like I was for most of my adolescent and young adult life, you will surely want to witness first-hand the World’s Largest Yard Sale! This Saturday, May 10th, from 8:00am-3:00pm at Washington County Fairgrounds it’s on like Donkey Kong! Gates open at 7am. The event is held at the Main Exhibit Hall of Washington County Fairgrounds. Admission is just $5 and a portion of the proceeds goes to Shriners Hospitals for Children. Parking is FREE!

The lucky ones who make it out will find 75 yard sales all under one roof! There’s also plenty of fun to be had by the kids in the Kids Zone: bounce houses, a petting zoo and much more! Tickets will be given out to see Sesame Street Live Presents When Elmo Grows Up, at Rose Quarter May 9-11.
