Comic actor and Emmy Award-winning writer Wyatt Cenac will be lecturing at Reed College on Wednesday, February 17. If you watch The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, you’ve likely already seen Cenac, a correspondent and contributing writer there for the past few years. Check out some recent videos from his Daily Show pieces here.
Before garnering an Emmy for his work on The Daily Show, Cenac worked as a writer for King of the Hill and, on a more serious note, starred in the independent film Medicine for Melancholy. Make the trek to Reed to see Wyatt Cenac speak. Like The Daily Show itself, it’s bound to be vaguely informative and totally hilarious.
Cenac’s appearance at Reed is the first of three lectures that are part of Reed’s observance of Black History Month, which also includes lectures by Melissa Harris-Lacewell and Peniel E. Joseph. All events are free and open to the public. See the full schedule of events here.
